Designed for residential solar hot water systems, the KC86-8 brings smartphone control to the daily routine of solar water heating. Homeowners can check live water temperature and tank water level, start timed water filling and timed heating, and switch heating, defrost and circulation modes from anywhere through a mobile app. Built-in Bluetooth networking supports multi-phone control, and a single device can be shared with up to six family members, with real-time status synchronized across every phone. The feature is aimed at households with elderly parents who may not be comfortable setting smart devices themselves, allowing adult children to operate the system remotely.
The controller adopts a standard 86 mm square panel, measuring 86 by 86 by 42 mm, which fits common wall boxes for straightforward replacement and installation. Its LCD displays water temperature from 0 to 99 °C at an accuracy of ±2 °C, along with four-level water level indication. Constant-temperature and constant-level modes, timed functions and three-fold protection help keep household hot water dependable. Powered by 220 V at 50 Hz with 5 W no-load consumption, the unit is rated to manage an optional electric heating element up to 2400 W, or a heat tape or booster pump up to 750 W each, with water boosting and heat tape functions selectable; the electric heater, heat tape and booster pump themselves are not included in the controller package. It works with a DC12 V solenoid valve and a 2-core sensor.
